The child's illness was detected at 5 months; at 11 months she began blood transfusions, continuing 1 time every 1 month, and she is now 28 months old. She also has an enlarged liver and spleen after repeated transfusions, and grade 1\/4 regurgitation of the 3-leaflet tricuspid valve. The family is currently staying in someone else's house and plans to rent a home to make it easier for Anh Th\u01b0 to attend school.
